Lots of news this week! Tuesday’s Cleveland Music Club Jam Night at Doc and Louie’s was a fun night with co-hosts Drew Doman and Uncle Steve Smith. Thanks go out to Hayden Frosti, Jay Smith, Bob Laeng, John Kerver, Angelo Ciu, Nate Mysza, Dave Ziggy Deitke, Ronny B, Blake Kniola, Rob Hill, John Powell, Dan Elliott, Mike Cottom, Greg Kern, Carl DeScott, Taylor Lamborn and Dave on Sax for sharing their musical talents with us. It was great to see Tony, Mike H., Katyana, Lisa, Pat, Lenna, Steven, Vern, Joe, John B., Jimmy, Marilyn, and the rest of Doc’s music loving patrons. Thanks also to Guitar Center of N. Olmsted for supplying the prizes and to Lenna Pauley for donating tickets for the Multi Breed Rescue event. Big thanks to Doc and Tracy for all of their hard work and support!

Next it was Wednesday and time for Cleveland Music Club’s monthly “stuffed crust” show at the Fairview Tavern. We had a blast and hope you did too! We’re back there on December 12 from 8-11pm. :c)

On Friday, Shady Drive headed to The Mad Cactus to party down with Kelly and Tischa behind the bar, Charlie and Pat, Jen, Ray, Ron, Janet and the Cactus gang. What a great night! See you all back there soon :c)

Next, Saturday found me with G.S. Harper, Chris Hanna and Kevin Fancher as Cleveland Music Club appeared at the Fairview Tavern. It was great to see Al, Thor, Danielle, Rob, Lenna and Mark! Extremely fun night! :c)

Coming up this week, Cleveland Music Club Jam Night at Doc and Louie’s (24280 Lorain Rd., North Olmsted, 7pm – 11pm) will feature co-hosts ‘Furious’ George Hartwig and Gary ‘G-Rock’ Stulak, as well as Doc’s delicious burgers (w/fries) for $4.95 and $3 margaritas until 9pm. There’s also plenty of parking and no shortage of fun, so come out and get your jam on with us! :c)

On Friday, Shady Drive heads back to 42 Eighty Food and Drink (4280 Shenandoah Pkwy., Brunswick, 9:30pm – 1:30am) to rock the house with your favorite rock and blues hits. The food is awesome, the drinks are cold, and there’s a big dance floor just waiting for you, so make plans now to join us!

Then on Saturday, Shady Drive is joined by Tony Koussa Jr. on keys and the fabulous North Coast Horns at Doc and Louie’s (24280 Lorain Rd., North Olmsted, 8:30pm – 12:30am) for what should prove to be an amazing night. Come on down to Doc’s and help us fill the dance floor! :c)

For you Medina County musicians and music lovers, mark January 13 on your calendars, for that’s the night that Cleveland Music Club will begin hosting a Musicians’ Jam Night at 42 Eighty Food and Drink on Sunday nights from 7pm – 11pm. Full PA lights and backline are provided. just bring your guitars and sticks and sign up to jam! :c)

Hi gang!

I hope this finds everyone safe and sound from the effects of Hurricane Sandy. We had to cancel last week’s Cleveland Music Club Jam Night due to the weather. We had no power (as did a lot of folks) and were dealing with rising water in our basement. Thanks for your understanding! :c)

We were able to get things back to some semblance of order by Friday night as Cactus Jack hit the 42Eighty stage for a return appearance. It was a mini family reunion when my cousins Mary, Dee and Vi strolled in with Louie, Paul and Arthur. It was great to see Charlie and Pat, Gene and Shelly, Joel and Nicole, Jen, Gary and Laura and John! We had a blast and hope you did too!

Coming up this week, this Tuesday’s Cleveland Music Club Jam at Doc and Louie’s (24280 Lorain Rd., North Olmsted, 7pm – 11pm) will feature guest hosts G.S. On Friday, Shady Drive returns to Sassy’s Bar and Grill (10755 Ravenna Rd., Twinsburg, 9pm – 1am). Come join us at this great venue and help us party the night away with the Sassy’s gang!

This Saturday Shady Drive plays a private function in Freeport, Ohio.

Hi gang!

We began last week with Tuesday’s Cleveland Music Club Jam Night at Doc and Louie’s. Many thanks to Dan Elliott, Greg Kern, Ronny B., Justin Melcarek, John Powell, Carol Dieball, Carl E. De Scott, Dave “Ziggy” Deitke, T.J. On Friday night I headed to The Mad Cactus and a fill-in gig with the King Bees. Thanks to Mike, Brant, Sammy, Scott and Reggie for a great gig! Thanks also to Cheri, Ray, Steve, Jen, Jon, Kevin, Bob and everyone who stopped out. It was definitely a fun night!

Saturday found me back with Shady Drive for our monthly appearance at the Fairview Tavern. We had a great time! It was great to see Mary, Bob and Connie as well as the Tavern gang. :c)

Coming up this week…on Tuesday the Cleveland Music Club Jam Night and Doc and Louie’s (24280 Lorain Rd., North Olmsted, 7pm – 11pm) will celebrate our 1-year anniversary! Guest hosts are G.S. Harper and Kevin Fancher, but many other guest hosts are expected to be in attendance as well. All of our sponsors (Sonor Drums, Guitar Center, Dirty Town Guitar and Amps and Forcefield Entertainment) will be represented so there will be prizes galore for our jammers and also a special drawing for our host crew! Doc’s ½ pound burgers are just $4.95 (w/fries) and margaritas are $3 until 9pm. There’s plenty of parking in Doc’s front and rear lots, O’Reilly’s rear lot and their front lot after they close at 9pm. Come help us celebrate our first year! :c)

Then on Wednesday, join G.S. Harper, Kevin Fancher and me at the Fairview Tavern (21867 Lorain Rd., Fairview Park, 8pm – 11pm) for the monthly Cleveland Music Club show. Come out and join us for dinner and drinks while we play all your favorite classic rock, blues and country hits, with extra ‘cheese’!

This Friday at 6pm, Shady Drive returns to Mapleside Farms (294 Pearl Rd., Brunswick, 6pm – 9:30pm) to appear in Mapleside’s Concerts over the Valley series for the second straight year. As a special treat, the North Coast Horns will join us for the second set, so bring your blankets and lawn chairs and get ready for a rockin’ good time!

On Saturday Shady Drive returns to the Lampliter Lounge (6339 Olde York Rd., Parma Heights) to rock the night away with our good friend Blake Kniola filling in for Kevin on bass. The staff and patrons there are awesome and love to party down and dance, so come join us! Be sure to bring your dancing shoes!
