Last Tuesday brought another edition of the Cleveland Music Club Jam night at Doc and Louie’s. Stopping by to jam out with us were Charlie Simms, Arthur Blakey II, William Kiehn, Emily Keener, Jay Smith, Bob Laeng, John Kerver, Nate Mysza, TJ Plechaty, Larry Ketola, Rob Hill, Greg Kern, Dan Elliott, Carol Dieball, Don Lydon, Mike Cottom, Jaime Flores and Katyana Speckman. Thanks to all of the performers for coming out and making music for us! Thanks also to Gary, Jen K., Jen G., Lisa, JoAnne, Tom, Steve, Dick, Uncle Peanuts, Vern, Rich, the Dancing Marilyns, Kevin and the rest of Doc’s music loving patrons. We’d also like to thank guest hosts Rob Hayes and Kevin Fancher and sponsor, Dirty Town Guitar and Amps. Congrats to our drawing winners: Mike Cottom ($15 gift certificate for Dirty Town), Carol Dieball (instrument cable), William Kiehn (slide) and Greg Kern (guitar strings). Next, Shady Drive was back at the Fairview Tavern on Saturday for our monthly appearance. We held off getting started until our Buckeyes had Nebraska well in hand, and then it was party time! Many thanks to Jen, Jon, Marty, Mari, Chris, Wally, Sandy, Ken, Kate and new friends Diane and Angie for coming out to party with us! Also thanks to Morgan, Heather, L.J., Marissa and Chris for keeping all the plates and glasses full! We had a blast and hope you all did too. :c)
Coming up this week, Tuesday’s Cleveland Music Club Jam at Doc and Louie’s (24280 Lorain Rd., North Olmsted, 7pm – 11pm) features guest hosts G.S. Harper and Kevin Fancher. Our sponsor this week is Guitar Center of North Olmsted. We’ll be featuring a little taste of country as an appetizer for our Cactus Jack show at Doc and Louie’s on Friday October 13. Doc’s delicious 1/2 pound burgers (w/fries) are just $4.95 and margaritas are $3 until 9pm. Plenty of parking in Doc’s front and back lots, O’Reilly’s back lot and also their front lot after they close at 9pm. Come get your jam on with us!
On Wednesday, I’m back with G.S. Harper and Kevin Fancher for our monthly Cleveland Music Club appearance at the Fairview Tavern (21867 Lorain Rd., Fairview Park, 8pm – 11pm) Come join us for dinner and drinks as we play your favorite cheesy hits! You’ll be glad you did, and so will we! :c)
This Friday night, Cactus Jack rides into Doc and Louie’s (24280 Lorain Rd., North Olmsted, 8:30pm – 12:30pm) for another rip roarin’ good time, playing all your favorite country hits! So grab your best Stetson, jump into your boots and get on down to Doc’s and do a little boot scootin’ with us!
I’m taking Saturday off to catch Wish You Were Here at the House of Blues. There are still some tickets left but not many, so hurry! If you haven’t seen this amazing tribute to Pink Floyd, you absolutely owe it to yourself, trust me. If you have, then you know what I’m talkin’ about!
