I hope you’re having a great summer! It’s hard to believe that Labor Day is just around the corner! Shady Drive has been very busy this summer, and we have more great shows coming up! Also, Charlie, Randy and I will fire up The Swingtown Rebels for a Friday/Saturday at The Fairview Tavern over Labor Day weekend!

Sunday August 22, Shady Drive along with Blue Lunch, Juke Hounds and Nightwalkers @ Wilbert’s - 4pm. This show is a fund raiser for the Cleveland Blues Society!

Hey gang!
After a weekend off, I’m ready to rock! This Saturday (July 17), Shady Drive makes their debut appearance at The Brew Keeper in North Ridgeville at 9:30pm. Come on out and party with us!
Next, on Thursday (July 22), we return to The Brothers’ Lounge in Cleveland. Brothers is an extraordinary venue, so you don’t want to miss this show. We take the stage at 9pm.
Then, on Friday (July 23), we’re back at Doc & Louie’s in North Olmsted at 9pm. It’s always a great time with Doc and his staff! The club features great food and drinks as well as a large dance floor. C’mon out and get your groove on!
On Saturday (July 24), I’ll be at Aces Grille in North Ridgeville with The Remainders. Aces features great pizza and other favorites. The Remainders make a limited number of appearances, so don’t miss it!
Sunday (July 25) will find me back with Shady Drive for an appearance at Walk + Roll Cleveland at Washington Reservation in Slavic Village. This is a 90-minute show beginning at 4:30pm.
Wrapping up the month of July on Saturday the 31st, Shady Drive returns to the Fairview Tavern at 9:30pm. Awesome food and drinks are the Tavern’s feature as well as a friendly and attentive staff. Don’t be late if you want a good seat!
Looking ahead into August, on the 6th we’ll appear at Twilight at the Zoo for the 4th consecutive year. Get your tickets now if you haven’t already!

Hey gang!
Our Canton Blues Fest appearance was a smash! We sold out all of our demo CDs and most of the t-shirts. Rob, Dick and I had a great time and hope to be back there next year.
This week, we’re at The Mad Cactus in Strongsville on Friday and playing a private function on Saturday.
We’ve added a show at The Brewkeeper in North Ridgeville on July 17. We have another new venue or two on tap so stay tuned!

Just a few last-minute things…
Stop On Inn is no longer supporting live music in Cleveland and has cancelled all live bands, so we won’t be appearing there on the last Friday of each month as we’d planned. We hope to fill those dates at another venue so stay tuned.
Coming up this Monday, don’t miss the Cleveland Blues Society Jam at Doc and Louie’s! The fun starts at 7:30pm!
Also, be sure to make plans to catch us at the legendary Brothers Lounge on Thursday May 27! Let’s show Brothers what a real Shady Drive show is like!

Hi gang!
Things have started popping for Shady Drive in the past few weeks! We’ve some great gigs coming up at Brothers Lounge , The Cleveland Blues Society Jam, The Canton Blues Fest in June and Crocker Park in July and August!
First up, Shady Drive returns to The Stop On Inn this Friday, April 30 at 9:30pm. Always a rockin’ crowd and lots of fun at The Stop! Then we’re off to Doc and Louie’s on Saturday May 1 at 9:00pm to spend the evening partying with Doc, his staff and the D&L crowd!
On Monday, May 10, Shady Drive and Doc and Louie’s host the monthly Cleveland Blues Society Jam Night! Things get started at 7:30pm as we take the stage for a 1-hour set, then open the stage to our fellow musicians for a great blues jam! Amps, PA and Sonor drums are provided by Shady Drive. Guitarists or bassists, just bring your axe. Drummers, bring your sticks. If you’re not a musician, just bring your ears, your party attitude and get ready to hear some of Cleveland’s greatest blues musicians doin’ their thang!
On Saturday, May 22, we’re back at The Blue Snapper once again. The fun starts at 9:00pm on The Snapper’s awesome patio! Come out and help us kick off the summer in great fashion while we rock the night away at one of the Cleveland area’s best outdoor venues! After the Snapper show, get some rest because you’re going to need it!
We start the Memorial Day weekend off on Thursday night with Shady Drive’s debut performance at the legendary Brothers Lounge! Mark May 27 on your calendars and bring all of your friends to this one! Brothers is an extraordinary venue with great food and drinks, friendly staff and a great house sound and light system! We take the stage at 9pm, so don’t be late!
On Friday May 28, the holiday weekend continues as we travel back to The Stop On Inn! The fun starts at 9:30pm! After a rare Saturday night off, we make our annual Memorial Day weekend appearance at Schaun Acres Campground in Oberlin. This gig is always a blast and things get rolling at 8pm!
Don’t forget to make plans to attend the Canton Blues Fest on June 18! Admission is free!

It’s been a busy spring! Shady Drive is off for the next two weekends, so we’re starting work on our new CD and getting ready for our performance at the Canton Blues Festival, where we’ll be sharing the stage with some of the top names in blues. Rob, Dick and I attended the monthly Cleveland Blues Society jam last night at the Parkview Nite Club and had a fabulous time! Thanks to host band Blues On Fire and CBS President Gary Craft for being such gracious hosts! Look for Shady Drive to host this event in the near future! Also, watch for the Swingtown Rebels to make a few appearances around town this summer as Charlie and Randy make the trip out to Cleveland. Stay tuned for dates as they’re available.

Hey gang!
Thanks to everyone who came out to the Prime Numbers gig last Friday! Tim Hamman did a great job filling in for Bill and we had a blast! Bill will be back with us when we hit the Fairview Tavern next on April 2!
You’ll get a rare chance to see Bill with Shady Drive this Friday (March 26) at Stop On Inn as he fills in for Dick Devries on bass and vocals. Dick will be back with us on Saturday (March 27) at The Blue Snapper.

Hey gang!
Happy New Year! I hope everyone’s holidays have been safe and enjoyable! I am looking forward to this year and all of its exciting possibilities. I hope you are as well!
Breaking in the New Year gig-wise, I’m with Shady Drive tomorrow (January 2) at the Parma Tavern at 9:30pm. This is our first show at this venue, so c’mon out and support the band! The food and drinks are great at the Parma Tavern and so is the staff! As a special treat, Bill March (Twist, Prime Numbers) will be filling in on bass!
Speaking of Prime Numbers, our upcoming show at the Fairview Tavern on January 22 has become a mini-reunion for the Lakewood High School Class of ‘75! The alumni will begin gathering at the Tavern at 7:30pm. Prime Numbers takes the stage at 9:30pm and will be focusing on hits of the ’70s and ’80s. This should be a great time!

The Remainders have just booked their Sly Fox gigs for 2010. Catch us there on February 5, July 24 and October 15!
Shady Drive will be at The Blue Snapper this Saturday, December 12, so come on out! We’ve just added a Mad Cactus date on January 15.
