Hi gang!

Last week’s CMC Jam Night was a rockin’ good time! Stopping by to jam with us were Jen Adame (Happy Birthday!), Hayden Frosti, David Lewicki, Bob Laeng, John Kerver, Hichem Ferrah, Mike Cottom, Mike Cottom Jr., Greg Lapsevich, Ronny B., Greg Kern, Jon Darling, Dan Elliott, Greg McGill, Tom King, Sammy Free, Blake Kniola, Katyana Speckman, Wally Marflak, “Duet Forum” (Larry Ketola and Jeff Ulmicher), Mal Mapes and Jaime Flores. Big thanks to all of them as well as Don Lydon, Bob Devries, and Dennis Raymond, who also came out to make some music but had to leave. Thanks to all of the folks who came out to party with us, celebrate Jen’s birthday and enjoy the music, including: Lisa, Amanda, Jason, Pattie, Jimmy, Wes, Jon, Nancy, Gerald, Sheri, Pam, Mary Beth, Eroc, Mike H., Effie, Alyssa, Lenna, Mark, Aron, Barb, Tim, the Dancing Marilyns and the rest of Doc’s music loving patrons. Thank you Dirty Town Guitar and Amps for sponsoring us each week and thank you G.S. Harper and Bill March for hosting this week. Finally, thank you Doc and Sherri keeping us off the streets on Tuesday nights!

Friday and Saturday nights I had the privilege of filling in for Scott Hathaway with Heart and Soul at Carrie Cerino’s. My thanks to Stevon Wolf, Kenya Coleman, Dennis Bielinski, Russ Richards and Dave Kozma for making it a VERY easy fill-in gig. I had a blast! :c)

Saturday morning found Shady Drive playing the Ford Engine Plant 1 Open House in Brookpark. The weather was not very cooperative, but we managed to squeeze two sets in between the rainstorms. It was fun despite the rain and having to spend the remainder of the day unpacking our gear and drying it out. :cX

Coming up this week…

On Tuesday, the CMC Jam at Doc and Louie’s (24280 Lorain Rd., N. Olmsted, 7pm – 11pm) features guest hosts Drew Doman and Uncle Steve Smith. Our sponsor each week is Dirty Town Guitar and Amps. As always, Doc’s amazing burgers are $4.95 (w/fries) all night and margaritas are $3 until 9pm. There’s plenty of parking in Doc’s front and back lots, O’Reilly’s back lot and their front lot after they close at 9pm. Full backline (two guitar amps, bass amp, Sonor drums, Alesis QS6 keyboard and PA) is provided, so bring your favorite axe, sticks or just your party attitude and dancing shoes and come join the fun!

Wednesday, it’s time once again for Cleveland Music Club’s appearance at the Fairview Tavern (21867 Lorain Rd.) ! G. S. Harper and Kevin Fancher join me to play your favorite tunes from 8pm – 11pm. It’s always fun, so come join us!

Friday will find Shady Drive back at 42 Eighty Food and Drink (4280 Shenandoah Pkwy, Brunswick, 9:30pm – 1:30am) to rock out with the gang. The food, drinks and service are awesome, so come join us and let’s kick this weekend off in Shady Drive style!

From there, Shady Drive cruises north this Saturday to the Fairview Tavern (21867 Lorain Rd., Fairview Park, 9:30pm – 1:30am) for our monthly appearance there. The beer is cold, the food is amazing and the service is fast and friendly, so come on out and party with us and the Tavern gang for a rockin’ night!

That’s all for this week! We’ll talk soon…

Mike :c)
