Hi gang!
Last Tuesday, we kicked off the week, AND the third year of the Cleveland Music Club Jam Night at Doc and Louie’s! Guest hosts ‘Furious’ George Hartwig and Gary ‘GRock’ Stulak rocked it out during the host set. Then we turned the stage over to jammers Mike Cottom Sr., Mike Cottom Jr., Bob Laeng, John Kerver, Skip Werke, Joey Samide, Scott Urbas, Luther Trammell, Blake Kniola, John Powell, Dan Elliott, Greg McGill, Don Lydon, Greg Kern, Katyana Speckman, Mal Mapes, Lenna Pauley, Paul Franks, JMY T., Marysa Tigue and Sean Cortimilia. Thank you all for coming out to entertain us! Thanks also to Hayden, Alyssa, Joe, Effie, Vern, Gary, Lisa, any and all dancers including those of the Marilyn persuasion and the rest of Doc’s music loving patrons. The dance floor got a workout that night! Huge thanks, as always, to our weekly sponsor Dirty Town Guitar and Amps. If you need repairs, mods, custom built amps etc… get down to Dirty Town! Finally, thanks to Doc and Sherri for rockin’ it out every week!
On Wednesday it was off to the Fairview Tavern as ‘Furious’ George Hartwig and Tim Hamman joined me for Cleveland Music Club’s 8-11 show. We had a great time playing for the Tavern crowd! Thanks to Barb, Erika and Gerald and everyone else who came out to see us.
Shady Drive appeared at the Parma Tavern on Friday night and as always we had a great time. Thanks to all who came out including Nate, Katy, Jen, Blake and Sarah! :c)
Saturday’s Shady Drive debut show at Divot’s Sports Bar was a bit light on attendance, but a great show nonetheless. Thanks to Chris, Wally, Sandy, Ken, Beverly and Ron for coming out! The food there is excellent and it’s a really nice venue with some pretty awesome regular folks. We’re looking forward to appearing there again. :c)
Coming up this week…
On Tuesday, the CMC Jam at Doc and Louie’s (24280 Lorain Rd., N. Olmsted, 7pm – 11pm) features guest hosts G.S. Harper and Bill March. Our sponsor each week is Dirty Town Guitar and Amps. As always, Doc’s amazing burgers are $4.95 (w/fries) all night and margaritas are $3 until 9pm. There’s plenty of parking in Doc’s front and back lots, O’Reilly’s back lot and their front lot after they close at 9pm. Full backline (two guitar amps, bass amp, Sonor drums, Alesis QS6 keyboard and PA) is provided, so bring your favorite axe, sticks or just your party attitude and dancing shoes and come join the fun!
Shady Drive is off Friday. On Saturday we’ll play the Ford Engine Plant 1 Open House from 11am – 3pm.
That’s all for this week! We’ll talk soon…
Mike :c)
