Hi gang!

I’m a bit under the weather this week, so this will be short and sweet. Last week’s CMC Jam at Doc and Louie’s was a blast with guest hosts Rob Hayes and Eroc Sosinski. It seemed that every drummer in Cleveland was there at some point. Stopping by to jam with us were Ronny B, Bill K, Jon Darling, Charlie Simms, Marc Alu, Frank Castrucci, Don Lydon, Greg Kern, Dan Elliott and Mike Horvath, Dave Poirier, Jay Smith, Bob Laeng, John Kerver, Hayden Frosti, Charlie Pica, Jay Smith, Chris Boross, Dan Pfeiffer, Blake Kniola, Katy Speckman, JMY T, Tom Leatherman, Dan Hearns and the band of Rebel Grindstone (Andrew, Jeff and Dave). Thanks also to all of the cool people who just came up to enjoy the music and mayhem of jam night including: Mal, Pat, Krista, Sheri, Jen, Cathy, Steven, Vern, Kyle, Amanda B., Jason, Jimmy, Dan, John, Lisa, the other Lisa, the dancing Marilyns and the rest of Doc’s music loving patrons. Thanks to Ullman Sails and Forcefield Entertainment for sponsoring the evening and congrats to Frank C who won the gear bag, Mike Cottom who won the guitar strings and Tom Leatherman who won the drum sticks. Finally, thank you Tracy and co for all of your hard work. Hope the Doctor enjoyed his vacation!

Following that up were two great gigs with Shady Drive on Friday (Mad Cactus) and Saturday (Fairview Tavern). Thanks to Gordy, Jeff, Gary, Laura, Merle, Ken, Sandy, Blake, Brittany, Chris, Daryl, Chris and everyone else who came out this past weekend.

Coming up this week…

Tomorrow I’ll be at Doc and Louie’s (24280 Lorain Rd., North Olmsted, 7pm-11pm) with guest hosts G.S. Harper and Kevin Fancher for the weekly CMC Musicians’ Jam Night. Our sponsor this week is Dirty Town Guitar and Amps! The burgers (w/fries) are still just $4.95 and margaritas are $3 until 9pm. Plenty of parking in Doc’s front and back lots, O’Reilly’s back lot and also their front lot after they close at 9pm. Full backline (two guitar amps, bass amp, Sonor drums, Alesis QS6 keyboard and PA) is provided. The party gets rolling promptly at 7pm. C’mon out and jam with us!

On Friday, Cleveland Music Club will make a rare full show appearance as G.S. Harper, Dirk Garman, Chris Hanna, Billy Mangano and I play your favorite rock, blues and country hits at Doc and Louie’s (24280 Lorain Rd., North Olmsted, 8:30pm-12:30am). We plan to have a real good time, so you should come join us!

Saturday night will find me with Rob and Kevin as Shady Drive returns to 42 Eighty Food and Drink (4280 Shenandoah Pkwy., Brunswick, 9:30pm – 1:30am). Come spend your Saturday night partying with us! :c)

Sunday brings another edition of the CMC Sunday Jam at 42 Eighty Food and Drink (4280 Shenandoah Pkwy., Brunswick, 9:30pm – 1:30am) with guest hosts Drew Doman and Uncle Steve Smith. The food is great (40 cent wings and the most awesome homemade kettle chips w/ dip!), the beer is cold ($4 pitchers of domestic beer and happy hour prices until 9pm!) and full backline (two guitar amps, bass amp, Sonor drums, Alesis QS 6 keyboard and PA) is provided, so bring your favorite axe or sticks and come jam with us!

That’s all for this week! We’ll talk soon…

Mike :c)
