Hi gang!
It’s hard to believe that January is almost over and it’s time to recap another week! The fun started at Doc and Louie’s on Tuesday night with Mike Wypasek and Tony Camerato guest hosting the CMC Jam Night. Braving the cold to come hang out with us were Jay Smith, Hayden Frosti, Bob Laeng, John Kerver, William Kiehn, Sammy Free, Carol Dieball, Dan Elliott, Jason Neitenbach, Andrew Heitz, Brian Davidson, Jeff, Dave, JMY T, Mal Mapes, John B., Jimmy D., Amanda B., Terri, Vern, Pat, Steven, Barb, Uncle Peanuts, the Dancing Marilyns and the rest of Doc’s music loving patrons. Thanks all! Thanks also to Tracy and Doc for keeping us all fed and watered.
On Friday Shady Drive was back at 42 Eighty Food and Drink for our monthly appearance there. The dance floor got quite a workout, as did we! Fun night!
Saturday night found Shady Drive back at the Parkview Nite Club playing to a packed house. It’s such a treat to play at the Parkview and we were especially glad to see Jen, Kendall, Stephanie, Joe, Lisa, Mary, Bob, Paul and John among the crowd. Our thanks to all of you and to Norm and his staff for an amazing night!
Sunday’s CMC Sunday Jam may have been a little short on jammers but not on fun! Thanks to Mario Talarico, Jason Neitenbach, Don Nero, Alexis Dae, and Blake Kniola for coming out to jam with us, to Amanda, Patricia, Peanuts, and all of the rest of the 42 Eighty music lovers for filling up the club and to sponsor Studio 42 Music in Brunswick (Congrats to Alexis and Blake who won a teeshirt and a glass, respectively). Finally, thanks to Emily and Vern at 42 Eighty for all of their hard work and to Robert for providing such a great venue.
Coming up this week….
This Tuesday’s edition of CMC Musicians’ Jam Night at Doc and Louie’s (24280 Lorain Rd., North Olmsted, 7pm – 11pm) features guest hosts Rob Hayes and Eroc Sosinski. As always, Doc’s amazing burgers are $4.95 (w/fries) all night and margaritas are $3 until 9pm. There’s plenty of parking in Doc’s front and back lots, O’Reilly’s back lot and their front lot after they close at 9pm. Full backline (two guitar amps, bass amp, Sonor drums, Alesis QS6 keyboard and PA) is provided, so bring your favorite axe, sticks or just your party attitude and dancing shoes and come join the fun!
On Friday, Shady Drive sets up shop at The Mad Cactus (9175 Pearl Rd., Strongsville, 9pm – 1am) to party the night away playing your favorite rock and blues tunes while Tischa and Kelly serve up your favorite beverages. It’s always a great time at the Cactus, so come join us! :c)
This Saturday Shady Drive cruises to the Fairview Tavern (21867 Lorain Rd., Fairview Park, 9:30pm – 1:30am). Come out early and try the $10 hand cut strip steak dinner (w/ baked potato and salad) and then sit back with friends and enjoy a few of the Tavern’s wide selection of beers while we play some of your favorite tunes. Great food, cold beer, fast friendly service and Shady Drive…what’s not to love? :c)
There will be no CMC Sunday Jam this week due to the Super Bowl, but we’ll be back on Sunday February 10, so stay tuned!
That’s all for this week. We’ll talk soon!
Mike :c)
