This past week was really hot in more ways than one! On Monday, Shady Drive hosted the Lube Jam at Quaker Steak and Lube in Sheffield. It was a gorgeous evening on the outdoor stage. Many thanks to jammers Rick Lowe, Michelle Hennes, George Frazier, Dan Elliott, Dennis Raymond, Mike Bomback, Mark Trigalette and Ken Hammer! Thanks also to Debbie, Linda, Darrin, Debbie, Ted and Katie for hanging out with us!
On Tuesday I was back at Doc and Louie’s for the Cleveland Music Club jam night with co-hosts G.S. Harper and George Hartwig. Stopping by to jam with us were Bill Sanders, Bob Laeng, Jon Darling, Eric “Eroc” Sosinski, Ernie Arroyo, Jimmy Deamiches, Jason Neitenbach, Jay Smith, Hayden Frosti, Katyana Speckman, John Kerver, Carol Dieball, Dave Koler, Marc Alu, Charlie Vanek, Bill Crowley, Jaime Flores, Dominick Cataldo, Frank Thomas, Clayton Higgins, Blake Kniola, Derek Berger, John Jannuzzi, Kevin Fancher, Mike Cottom, Mark Trigalette, Rick Lowe, Rob Hill, Rich Spina, ET King, Ginny Valentik, Brian Bomback and Jim Belanger. Thanks to Jen, Chris, Jim, Scott, Amanda, Cathy, Chey, Gene, Shelly, Lisa, Lenna, Mark, Cindy, JoAnne, Tom, Mark G., the Dancing Marilyns and the rest of Doc’s music loving patrons for hanging out with us, to Dirty Town Guitar and Amps for sponsoring the evening (congrats ET, Jaime, Hayden, and Bill S. who won a $25 gift card for Dirty Town, a tee-shirt, a harmonica and guitar strings, respectively), to Tracy for working so hard to keep the glasses and plates filled all night and Doc for giving us a venue for our weekly mayhem! Last but absolutely not least, a big thanks to Nancy Yovan who literally made a fantastic party out of the night.
My next stop was on Friday with Cactus Jack as we made our debut at 42Eighty Food and Drink in Brunswick. The place was jumpin’ all night long! Thanks a bunch to Amanda, Mark, Susan, Mike, Dawn, Bridget, Bob, Lorraine, Merlin, Sandy, Gary, Desiree, Suz, Guy, Jen, Diane and everyone else who came out. Thanks also to Jess and Morgan for keeping everyone hydrated! We’re out next at Doc and Louie’s on August 10. Don’t miss it!
Coming up this week, I’m with Drew Doman and Uncle Steve Smith on Tuesday for the Cleveland Music Club jam night at Doc and Louie’s (24280 Lorain Rd., North Olmsted, 7pm – 11pm). Burgers are 2 for 1 and margaritas are $3 until 9pm. Bring your favorite axe and come get your jam on with us!
On Wednesday, join Cleveland Music Club at the Fairview Tavern (21867 Lorain Rd., Fairview Park, 8pm – 11pm) as G.S. Harper, Kevin Fancher and I play your favorite rock, blues and country hits! The food’s fabulous, the beer’s cold, the service is great and the music is hot. Come join us and make it a special Wednesday night!
Coming up on Friday, Shady Drive returns to the Fairview Tavern (21867 Lorain Rd., Fairview Park, 9:30pm – 1:30am) for an evening of blues and rock the Shady Drive way. The Tavern has amazing food, cold beer and the service is second to none. Come out and party with us!
On Saturday, Shady Drive is playing a private function.
