Hey gang!
Tuesday’s Cleveland Music Club jam night at Doc and Louie’s started off a bit rough for me as I had been under the weather for a few days, but it’s impossible to not have any fun with our gang of ‘irregulars’. Many thanks to Hayden Frosti, Jay Smith, John Kerver, Bob Laeng, Dave Porier, Luke Pernici, Ronny B, Dan Pfeiffer, Louis Johnson, Jim Lucchese, Mike Cottom, Eric Fischer, Billy Fischer, Frank Fischer, Katyana Speckman, Hannah, Jason Neitenbach, Jimmy Deamiches, Dan Haller, Rob Winwood, Bob Devries, Mal Mapes and JMY T for entertaining us all night. Thanks also to Amanda, Tim, Suzy, Pat, Peanuts, Lisa S., Ron, Steven, Joe, Lisa, Sheri, Vern, the Dancing Marilyns and the rest of Doc’s music loving patrons for hanging out with us, to guest hosts G.S. Harper and Kevin Fancher for all of their hard work and Doc and Tracy for keeping our plates and glasses full! Last but not least, thank you Dirty Town Guitar and Amps for sponsoring!
Friday’s Cleveland Music Club gig at Doc and Louie’s was just a bunch of fun! The crowd was a bit on the light side, but it was great to see Ken, Sandy, Pat (Happy Birthday!), Charlie, Nancy, Lisa, Ron, Katy, Bree, Brad, Jimmy, Dan, Jason, Amanda, Terry, Teresa, Rita and Erin! Thanks for stopping by and spending your Friday night with us. My thanks also to G.S. Harper, Dirk Garman, Chris Hanna and Billy Mangano for turning in one heck of a performance. It’s always a treat to share the stage with you guys. :c)
At 42 Eighty on Saturday night, the crowd was anything but light. Shady Drive played to a full house that included Chris, Daryl, Marty, Mari, Wally, Christine, Stefanie, Amanda, Gene, Shelly, Dan, Chris, Dan, Michelle and Merle. Thanks to all of you and the rest of the 42 Eighty gang for coming out to party with us. :c)
The CMC Sunday Jam crowd was light but not on fun. Thanks to Dave Poirier, Dave Deitke, Dan Elliott, John Powell and Saam Cabot (who also won the Dirty Town GC) for jamming with us, Drew Doman and Steve Smith for guest hosting, Gerald, Sarah, Barb, George, John, Patricia, Emily, Vern, Robert and the 42Eighty faithful for hanging out with us and Dirty Town Guitar and Amps for sponsoring! Fun night :c)
Coming up this week…
This Tuesday’s CMC Musicians’ Jam Night at Doc and Louie’s (24280 Lorain Rd., North Olmsted, 7pm – 11pm) we’ll welcome guest hosts Drew Doman and ‘Uncle Steve’ Smith and sponsor Sonor Drums. As always, Doc’s amazing burgers are $4.95 (w/fries) all night and margaritas are $3 until 9pm. There’s plenty of parking in Doc’s front and back lots, O’Reilly’s back lot and their front lot after they close at 9pm. Full backline (two guitar amps, bass amp, Sonor drums, Alesis QS6 keyboard and PA) is provided, so bring your favorite axe, sticks or just your party attitude and dancing shoes and come join the fun!
On Wednesday, Cleveland Music Club heads back to the Fairview Tavern (21867 Lorain Rd., Fairview Park, 8pm – 11pm) for our monthly appearance featuring Dwayne Dickman, Kevin Fancher and me playing your favorite tunes from 8pm – 11pm. The food is delicious and the beer is cold, so come have dinner and a beverage or two while we play some of your favorite songs! :c)
Then on Saturday, Shady Drive treks to Newbury, Ohio and the fabulous Zeppe’s Tavern and Pizzeria (11110 Kinsman Rd., Newbury, 9pm – 1am) We had a great time playing bike nights there last summer and we’re looking forward to rockin’ the Zeppe’s gang on a Saturday night. The party starts at 9pm! :c)
This week’s CMC Sunday Jam at 42 Eighty will feature Ed Sarley and Tony Camerato as guest hosts and sponsor Sonor Drums. The food is awesome (40 cent wings and the most awesome homemade kettle chips w/ dip!), the beer is cold ($4 pitchers of domestic beer and happy hour prices until 9pm!) and full backline (two guitar amps, bass amp, Sonor drums, Alesis QS 6 keyboard and PA) is provided, so bring your favorite axe or sticks and come jam with us!
That’s all for this week. We’ll talk soon…
Mike :c)
