Hi gang!

Last week was loads of fun, beginning with the CMC Jam at Doc and Louie’s on Tuesday. Thanks to everyone who came out to enjoy their Fat Tuesday with us. We had a great group of musicians including: Jay Smith, Bob Laeng, Hayden Frosti, John Kerver, William Kiehn, Steve Raz, Ronald Bill, John Powell, Jim Luchesse, Mike Cottom, Greg Kern, Carl E. De Scott, JMY T., Bob Devries, Captain Bill, Mal Mapes and the band “Rebel Grindstone” (Andrew, Dave and Jeff) Thank you all for filling the night with music! We also had a spirited crowd of revelers including: Jimmy, Jason, Amanda, Katie, Lisa, Katyana, Ron, Steven, Sheri, Patty, Kyle, Uncle Peanuts, the danicing Marilyns and the rest of Doc’s music loving patrons. Thank you for coming out week after week to support live music. Thanks to Sonor USA for their sponsorship (congrats Mal, William and Carl!), to Drew Doman and Steve Smith for guest hosting and to Doc and Sherry for working hard in the kitchen and behind the bar.

On to Wednesday when Dwayne Dickman and Kevin Fancher joined me for the Cleveland Music Club Wednesday show at the Fairview Tavern. A good time was had by all! :c)

Saturday found me with Shady Drive at Zeppe’s Tavern and Pizzeria in Newbury, playing to a packed house. Many thanks to everyone who came out and especially to John, Katy, Rachel, Angie, Dani and the rest of the awesome staff at Zeppe’s!

On Sunday I was back at 42 Eighty with Ed Sarley and Tony Camerato for the CMC Sunday Jam. Stopping by to jam with us were Tim Hamman, Tj Plechaty, Bob Laverty, Dave Tupa, Dave Deitke, Don Baker, Ken Porter, John Hamley, Keith Davis, Greg Kern, Tom Konopka, John Powell, Kevin Fancher, Jeff Beam and Bob Devries. There was a lot of jam night magic on that stage! Thanks also to all of the music lovers who came out to hang with us, including Ro, Marilyn, George, Amanda, George, Katie, Patty and Joe. Thanks to our sponsor for the evening, Sonor USA for their continued support of the CMC Jams and congratulations to drawing winners Kevin Fancher and Bob Laverty! Coming up this week….

This Tuesday’s CMC Musicians’ Jam Night at Doc and Louie’s (24280 Lorain Rd., North Olmsted, 7pm – 11pm) features guest hosts Mike Wypasek and Tony Camerato and sponsor Forcefield Entertainment. As always, Doc’s amazing burgers are $4.95 (w/fries) all night and margaritas are $3 until 9pm. There’s plenty of parking in Doc’s front and back lots, O’Reilly’s back lot and their front lot after they close at 9pm. Full backline (two guitar amps, bass amp, Sonor drums, Alesis QS6 keyboard and PA) is provided, so bring your favorite axe, sticks or just your party attitude and dancing shoes and come join the fun!

This Friday, Shady Drive returns to The Upper Deck (375 W. Bagley Rd., Berea, 9pm -1am) to rock the house once again! This is a great venue with awesome food and beverages and a super staff! Let’s kick old man winter to the curb and get the weekend started off right!

On Saturday, Shady Drive appears at the legendary Lampliter Lounge (6339 Olde York Rd., Parma Heights, 9:30pm – 1:30am) to party down with the Lamp crowd…and YOU! Bring your party attitude and dancin’ shoes and get on down to the Lamp for some rockin’ and rollin’ Shady Drive style!

Sunday brings another chapter of the CMC Sunday Jam at 42 Eighty Food and Drink (4280 Shenandoah Pkwy., Brunswick, 7pm – 11pm) with guest hosts ‘Furious’ George Hartwig and Tim Hamman, Emily behind the bar and Vern manning the kitchen. The food is awesome (40 cent wings and the most awesome homemade kettle chips w/ dip!), the beer is cold ($4 pitchers of domestic beer and happy hour prices until 9pm!) and full backline (two guitar amps, bass amp, Sonor drums, Alesis QS 6 keyboard and PA) is provided, so bring your favorite axe or sticks and come jam with us!
