Hi gang!
Last Tuesday’s Cleveland Music Club Jam was a great time, starting with an awesome host set by Brian Davidson and Bill March and continuing with this week’s jam crew: Doug, David Koler, John Kerver, Mike Cottom, Jack Hrush, Dan Elliott, Don Lydon, Greg Kern, Greg McGill, Patricia Reiter, Ron Jackson, Robert A. DeVries and “Time Out” (Ricky, Rick, Michael and Bill.) Thanks also to everyone who hung with us, including Bob, Vern, Pattie, Art, Tom, Charlita, Pamela, Dan, the Dancing Marilyns and the rest of the ‘Frog Faithful.’ Finally, big thanks as always to our sponsor Dirty Town Guitar and Amps and to the staff and management of Bullfrog’s Sports Cafe for their continued support.
Friday at Blue Turtle Tavern was a fun time, even though I was a bit under the weather. Many thanks to Chris, Daryl, Erika, John, Mike and Louise and her gang for coming out! We had fun! :c)
Saturday night at John O’s at Clay’s Park was completely off the hook. The place was literally packed to the rafters and it was definitely party time! Big thanks to Stephanie, Tiffany and their staff for having us and to the Green Acres gang and the rest of the Clay’s Park crowd for making our nights there so enjoyable! We’ll see you there next year!
Coming up this week…
The Cleveland Music Club – CMC Jam happens every Tuesday at Bullfrog’s Sports Cafe (33137 Center Ridge Rd., N. Ridgeville, 8:30 – 12:30). This week’s guest hosts are Becky Boyd, Mike Dixon and Tim Hamman! Our sponsor each and every week is Dirty Town Guitar and Amps (15230 Madison Ave. Lakewood)! Full backline (two guitar amps, bass amp, SONOR DRUMS and PA) is provided, so bring your favorite axe, sticks or just your party attitude and dancin’ shoes and come join the fun!
This Friday night, Shady Drive returns to the Parkview Nite Club (1261 W. 58th St., Cleveland, 9pm – 1am) to rock the house with your favorite blues tunes and selections from our CD, “Darker Shade of Blue“. Justin Butcher will be joining us on bass and we are expecting a special guest or three in the audience, so come out and join in all of the fun!
On Saturday night, Shady Drive heads back to the Fairview Tavern (21867 Lorain Rd., Fairview Park, 9:30pm-1:30am) with Blake Kniola joining us on bass. The food there is second to none (try the $10 strip steak special!), the drinks are cold and the service is top notch! Add to that an evening of your favorite blues and rock tunes by Shady Drive and it’s party time!! Come join us!!
Don’t forget to grab your copy of Shady Drive’s CD, “Darker Shade Of Blue” at a show, or on CDBaby or iTunes! You can hear us often, along with other blues artists on http://www.bluesmusicfan.com
That’s all for this week! We’ll talk soon…
