Hi gang!
Between Tuesday’s jam night/sharknado, recording backing vocals with Kevin, three Shady Drive gigs in two days and a rehearsal with Pieces of Eight, this past week was a blur, so this mail is WAY late and I apologize.
Thanks to Tuesday’s jam night hosts Brian Davidson and Bill March, jammers John Hamley, Bob Laeng, John Kerver, Nate Mysza, Greg McGill, Greg Kern, Don Lydon and Andrew on bass and to Tim, Effie, Vern, Peanuts, the Dancing Marilyns and the rest of the ‘Frog Faithful’ for coming out to play and/or just hang out. Thanks also to Dirty Town Guitar and Amps for sponsoring us each week and congrats to Don Lydon who won a coveted Dirty Town shirt!
Thanks also to everyone who came out to support Shady Drive this past weekend including Chris, Daryl, Tricia, Gerald, Mary, Jon, Katy, Lisa, Kate, Jess, Michaelene, Steve and all the folks at Clay’s Park, the Fairview Tavern and Cleats Marblehead!
Coming up this week…
The Cleveland Music Club – CMC Jam happens every Tuesday at Bullfrog’s Sports Cafe (33137 Center Ridge Rd., N. Ridgeville, 8:30 – 12:30) This week’s guest hosts are G.S. Harper and Kevin Fancher! Our sponsor each week is Dirty Town Guitar and Amps. Full backline (two guitar amps, bass amp, Sonor drums and PA) is provided, so bring your favorite axe, sticks or just your party attitude and dancin’ shoes and come join the fun!
On Friday, I’ll be with Pieces of Eight and the Lakeside Brass at the St. Ambrose Summer Festival (929 Pearl Rd., Brunswick, 5pm – 11pm)! Also appearing with us are the Soul Men Blues Brothers Tribute, so this is one you don’t want to miss!
On Saturday, Shady Drive plays a private function in Willowick.
Things are gearing up for release of Shady Drive’s CD, “Darker Shade of Blue” on July 6th at The Brothers’ Lounge in Cleveland. Save the date!
That’s all for this week. We’ll talk soon…
