Hi gang!

Last week was a very busy one! Thanks to everyone who decided to spend their Easter evening with us at the CMC Sunday Jam including: Don Nero, Mal Mapes, Greg Kern, Pat Reiter, TJ Plechaty, Mike Frate, Liz, Victoria, Lenna, Mark, Dan, Marilyn and guest hosts George Hartwig and Tim Hamman. Great group of folks and great music! Thanks also to Emily and Vern for working hard behind the bar and in the kitchen! Congrats to Pat Reiter who won a $10 iTunes card courtesy of Forcefield Entertainment.

Tuesday’s CMC Jam at Doc and Louie’s Bar & Grille was quite a night! Big thanks to all who came out including: guest hosts “Furious George” Hartwig and Gary “G Rock” Stulak, jammers Jay Smith, Hayden Frosti, Gerald Hurd, Bob Laeng, Luke Pernici, Wally Marflak, John Kerver, Ronny B., Greg Kern, Dan Elliott, Don Lydon, Mike Cottom, Dale Hartmann, Lenna Pauley, Katyana Speckman, Mal Mapes, JMY T., Jimmy Deamiches, Dennis, Dan Haller, Evan, Rebel Grindstone (Jeff, Dave, Andrew), Blake, Lisa, Amanda, Jason, JoAnn, Tom, Vern, Sheri, Effie, Mike, Katie, Lil George, Grant, the Dancing Marilyns and the rest of Doc’s music loving patrons. Thanks also to John Kerver for sponsoring this week’s jam and congratulations to this week’s drawing winners! Lenna Pauley won a bucket of sidewalk chalk, Mike Cottom won a kite, Don Lydon won a rocket, Katy Speckman won a Frisbee, which she generously gave to the CMC Jam resident frisbee guru, Dan Elliott. Finally, Jimmy Deamiches won the coveted autographed 8×10 glossy of John Kerver and a $25 Subway gift card. Jimmy was heard to say it is awesome that he got to win the “weirdest ever jam night prize.” :c)

Friday’s Shady Drive gig at The Upper Deck was really a great time! Thanks to Jen, Sandy, Ken, Chris, Daryl, Amanda, Jason, Jeff, Andrew, Denny, Natalie, Laura, Glenn and certainly not least, the girls from Alpha Gamma who took time out from their scavenger hunt to party with us. We’re back there on May 31, so mark your calendars.

It was definitely party time Saturday night at 42 Eighty with Cleveland Music Club. The house was packed as Erin Rossi, Tony Koussa Jr., Chad May, Kevin Fancher and I provided the evening’s soundtrack. Thanks to Kathie, Melissa and Doug, Kathy, Pat, Wally, Barb, Kristin, Jim, George and everyone else who stopped by for making it a great night!

Sunday’s CMC Sunday Jam was a little light on attendance but certainly not on fun! Guest hosts Ed Sarley and Tony Camerato were onstage the entire evening with John Hamley, TJ Plechaty, Greg Kern, John Powell, Patricia Reiter, Tammy (vocals) and Mike Frate. I had the pleasure of hanging out with Mari, Marty, George, Tom, Kim, Char and the rest of the 42 Eighty gang. Thanks for making it a fun night!

Coming up this week…

On Tuesday, join us at Doc and Louie’s (24280 Lorain Rd., North Olmsted, 7pm – 11pm) for the weekly CMC Musicians’ Jam Night. Guest hosts this week are Drew Doman and Uncle Steve Smith. As always, Doc’s amazing burgers are $4.95 (w/fries) all night and margaritas are $3 until 9pm. There’s plenty of parking in Doc’s front and back lots, O’Reilly’s back lot and their front lot after they close at 9pm. Full backline (two guitar amps, bass amp, Sonor drums, Alesis QS6 keyboard and PA) is provided, so bring your favorite axe, sticks or just your party attitude and dancing shoes and come join the fun!

This Wednesday it’s time for the Cleveland Music Club “Stuffed Crust” show at the Fairview Tavern (21867 Lorain Rd., Fairview Park, 8pm – 11pm) with G.S. Harper, Kevin Fancher and me providing the extra cheese. It’s always a really fun time and the food and service are nothing short of remarkable. Don’t take my word for it though, come see for yourself!

On Friday, Shady Drive plays a private function, but Saturday will find us back at the Fairview Tavern (21867 Lorain Rd., Fairview Park, 9:30pm – 1:30am) for our monthly appearance there. I know I say this every month, but the food there really is amazing, the service is great and the drinks are delicious. If that isn’t enough, Rob, Kevin and I will be playing all of your favorite rock and blues tunes while you’re enjoying the Tavern’s hospitality. Come join us! It’s a great way to spend a Saturday evening!

This week’s CMC Sunday Jam at 42 Eighty Food and Drink (4280 Shenandoah Pkwy., Brunswick, 7pm – 11pm) features guest hosts Rob “Shady” Hayes and Eroc Sosinski, Sonor Drums sponsoring, Emily behind the bar and Vern manning the kitchen. The food is awesome (40 cent wings and the most awesome homemade kettle chips w/ dip!), the beer is cold ($4 pitchers of domestic beer and happy hour prices until 9pm!) and full backline (two guitar amps, bass amp, Sonor drums, Alesis QS 6 keyboard and PA) is provided, so bring your favorite axe or sticks and come jam with us!

That’s all for this week! We’ll talk soon…

Mike :c)
