Hey gang!

Last week was extremely busy, beginning with the Cleveland Music Club Jam at Doc and Louie’s on Tuesday night. Thanks to jammers Jay Smith, Bob Laeng, Luke Pernici, John Kerver, TJ Plechaty, Dave Poirier, Wally Marflak, Eroc Sosinski, Louis Johnson, Blake Kniola, “Jerico White” ;cX, Dan Elliott, Carol Dieball, ET King, Katyana Speckman, Dan Hearns, Bob Devries and the band “814” (Greg, Mike and Frank.) Thanks also to all of our jam night “appreciators” including Cathy, Mari, Marty, Jim, Scott, Jason, Amanda, Lisa, Bridget, Dan, Janet, the Dancing Marilyns and the rest of Doc’s music loving patrons. What a fun bunch and some nice dancing! Thanks to guest hosts G.S. Harper and Kevin Fancher and sponsor Dirty Town Guitars and Amps. Congrats to prize winners Jay Smith (strings), John Kerver (polishing cloth and picks), Louis Johnson (gift certificate) and Wally Marflak (tee-shirt). Be sure to keep Dirty Town in mind when you need repairs or gear!!

Next, I was off to the Fairview Tavern with G.S. Harper and Kevin Fancher for Cleveland Music Club’s monthly Wednesday evening appearance there. As always we had a bunch of fun! Thanks to everyone who stopped by! I had a day to catch my breath before I was back at Doc and Louie’s with Cactus Jack on Friday. The dance floor was full of boot scooters all night long as we played 3 sets of country hits. It was great to see Charlie and Pat, the Dancing Marilyns, Bridget, Larry, Joe, Liz, Amanda, Jason and everyone else who came out to join us. Next, it was time to head back to the Fairview Tavern with Shady Drive for a night of blues and rock. Thanks to Al, Denny, Sue and all of you who stopped by to party with us! We had a blast! Finally, Sunday found me on Kelley’s Island filling in with the Burnt River Band at The Casino. Gigging with Stan and Bill is always a great time and Sunday’s gig was no exception. Thanks to everyone who came out and to Stan and Bill for asking me along!

Coming up this week, tonight I’ll be back at Doc and Louie’s (24280 Lorain Rd., N. Olmsted, 7pm-11pm) with co-hosts Drew Doman and Uncle Steve Smith for another edition of the Cleveland Music Club Jam Night. Doc’s Tuesday night features are his fabulous burgers with fries for $4.95 and $3 margaritas (margaritas until 9pm). The evening’s festivities are sponsored this week by Guitar Center of N. Olmsted. Come join us for an evening of good music, good food, good friends, prizes and fun! It’s the most fun you can have on a Tuesday night. ;c)

On Friday, Shady Drive returns to 42Eighty Food and Drink (4280 Shenandoah Pkwy. Brunswick, 9:30pm-1:30am) to party down with Jess and Morgan behind the bar and the 42Eighty gang. The club features an awesome stage and lights and a spacious dance floor as well as ample parking, great food and your favorite beverages! Come join us at Brunswick’s newest hot spot!

On Saturday, Shady Drive travels south to Marietta to play a private function.

That’s all for this week! We’ll talk soon…
