Hey gang!

Starting tomorrow, Open Mic at the O is BACK! Can’t wait to see everyone!

Here’s what’s coming up…

Monday: I host the Cleveland Music Club Open Mic at The Oriole Cafe’ (294 N. Rocky River Dr., Berea, 7-10pm)! I’ll provide the PA and a short host set, the rest is up to you! Come join us and show off your acoustic/vocal chops or just hang out and enjoy the music, great food and frosty cold drinks! Please bring your own microphone!

Saturday: Shady Drive will appear at the Fairview Tavern (21867 Lorain Rd., Fairview Park, 8-10pm) The food there is second to none (try the $10 steak special!), the drinks are cold and the service is top notch! We’ll be playing your favorite blues and rock tunes all evening, so GET THERE and let’s party! Reservations are strongly recommended! Call (440) 799-4200!

On Wednesday, November 25,  Shady Drive joins with Tony Koussa on keys and the fabulous North Coast Horns to appear at Legends Sports Bar and Grill (8735 Day Drive, Parma, 8pm)! Great food, service, plenty of parking, house sound and lights and a huge dance floor all make Legends one of Cleveland’s top live music venues, so make plans now to join us!

As always, you can pick up a copy of Shady Drive’s CD, “Darker Shade Of Blue” at all of our live shows and on Amazon, CDBaby or iTunes! You can hear us often, along with other blues artists on WCSB-FM Mondays at 9pm and on BluesMusicFan.com!

Hi gang!

Happy Labor Day! I hope everyone is doing something fun and relaxing today! Speaking of fun, Slim ‘N Shady will be doing something fun this coming Friday, September 11! Here’s the scoop…

Friday: Slim ‘N Shady heads back to Blue Turtle Tavern (29352 Lorain Rd., N. Olmsted, 6-9pm). C’mon out and help us rock the house during the Turtle’s Happy Hour while we play your favorite classic rock, country and blues tunes! You can even sing along! It’s that kinda party!

Coming up next week, on September 19…

After three years in the bass chair with Shady Drive, Blake Kniola is leaving the band to pursue other musical interests. It’s been an amazingly fun time with Blake in the band, and we wish him the best in his future endeavors! We’ll miss you Blake!

And so, please welcome Paul Francis back to Shady Drive! Paul has continued to play with Rob and me in “In Step”, and is returning to Shady Drive. We’re looking forward to our first show with Paul back in the bass chair on September 19!
