Hi gang!

The CMC Jam night ran a bit long last week with all of the jammers attending. Thanks to guest hosts Drew Doman and Steve Smith for a great host set. The we heard some excellent jams from: David Poirier, AJ Hamley, Bob Laeng, Nate Mysza, John Kerver, Devin Hogan, Jay on bass, Greg Kern, Tom King, Harmonica Stan, Dale Bally, Frances O’Daniel, Robert A. DeVries and the Cottom Catz (Mike Cottom, Mike Cottom, Chloe Cottom). Thanks to all for putting some great music into our Tuesday night! John, Hichem, Susan, Gary, Derek, the Dancing Marilyns and the rest of the ‘Frog Faithful’, thanks for hanging with us. Finally, as always, thank you to Dirty Town Guitar and Amps for sponsoring us every week and thank you to the management and staff of Bullfrog’s Sports Cafe for giving us the room each week.

Wednesday’s Rock Show Jam at Aces Middleburg was awesome! It was great to see Sandy, Ken, Lisa, Katyana, Ron and all of the Aces gang. Thanks to Gary Stulak for having Rob and I out to host! We had a blast!

Friday’s Slim N’ Shady happy hour show at Blue Turtle was a ton of fun as always! Many thanks to Sandy, Ken, Erika, Chris, Daryl, Karen, Louise, Tricia and Pam for coming out!

Saturday night’s Slim N’ Shady appearance at the Fairview Tavern was rather disappointing attendance-wise. We called it a night after one set. We were hoping to get some post-fireworks folks but it didn’t happen.

Coming up this week…

The Cleveland Music Club – CMC Jam happens every Tuesday at Bullfrog’s Sports Cafe (33137 Center Ridge Rd., N. Ridgeville, 8:30 – 12:30) Our guest hosts this week are Becky Boyd, Mike Dixon and Tim Hamman! Our sponsor each and every week is Dirty Town Guitar and Amps (15230 Madison Ave. Lakewood)! Full backline (two guitar amps, bass amp, SONOR DRUMS and PA) is provided, so bring your favorite axe, sticks or just your party attitude and dancin’ shoes and come join the fun!

On Wednesday, Shady Drive will appear at The Grille (1813 Pearl Rd., Brunswick, 7-10pm) which features an amazing patio, with food to match (their gyros are THE BEST!) and lots of frosty cold beverages! Justin Butcher will join us on bass, so come on out and let’s rock the house!

This Thursday, Cleveland Music Club plays Panini’s – Solon (6150 SOM Center Rd., 7-10pm). Great food, great drinks and a fun atmosphere are features of this awesome nightspot. Brian Davidson and Bill Kraker round out the line up, so c’mon out and let’s PARTY! :c)

Friday night finds Shady Drive teaming up with the North Coast Horns to play the Brookpark Home Days Festival (Brookpark Recreation Center, 17400 Holland Rd. Brookpark, 9pm – 11pm). This should be a great show, so make plans now to join us!

On Saturday, Shady Drive and the North Coast Horns return to headline the Fairview Park Summerfest (Bohlken Park, 7-11pm). Last year’s show was a blast, and this year should be even beter, as we’ll stop the show briefly at dusk to watch the fireworks, and then we’ll go back to making music until 11pm!

That’s all for this week! We’ll talk soon…

Mike :c)
