Monday, November 16: I host the Cleveland Music Club Open Mic at The Oriole Cafe’ (294 N. Rocky River Dr., Berea, 7-10pm)! I’ll provide the PA and a short host set, the rest is up to you! Come join us and show off your acoustic/vocal chops or just hang out and enjoy the music, great food and frosty cold drinks! Please bring your own microphone and instrument!

Saturday, November 21: I’ll join Tony Koussa (keys/vocals) and Marty Greenberg (bass) as Cleveland Music Club takes the stage at The Fairview Tavern (21867 Lorain Rd., Fairview Park, 8-10:30). The food there is second to none (try the $10 steak special!), the drinks are cold and the service is top notch! We’ll be playing your favorite blues, R&B, Motown and classic rock tunes all evening, so GET THERE and let’s party! Reservations are strongly recommended! Call (440) 799-4200!

Unfortunately, attendance at last Monday’s open mic was very poor. Thanks to John Hamley for saving me from playing the entire night alone! (I think the Oriole crowd was pretty grateful also!) Thanks also to Maury, Karen, Mark and Chris for filling a few seats, applauding and singing along! Tomorrow night we’re back at it again! :c)

October 29 – Announcement

Hi gang,

Due to Rob’s concerns over COVID-19, Shady Drive has been forced to cancel our show with Tony Koussa and the North Coast Horns at Legends on November 25. I’m sure Legends will fill the date so stay tuned to their website and Facebook page.

Also, effective immediately, I am parting ways with Shady Drive to pursue other musical interests. I will continue to send emails and also keep my website updated here.

Hi gang!

Happy Labor Day! I hope everyone is doing something fun and relaxing today! Speaking of fun, Slim ‘N Shady will be doing something fun this coming Friday, September 11! Here’s the scoop…

Friday: Slim ‘N Shady heads back to Blue Turtle Tavern (29352 Lorain Rd., N. Olmsted, 6-9pm). C’mon out and help us rock the house during the Turtle’s Happy Hour while we play your favorite classic rock, country and blues tunes! You can even sing along! It’s that kinda party!

Coming up next week, on September 19…

Saturday: Shady Drive heads back to The Fairview Tavern (21867 Lorain Rd., Fairview Park, 7pm). The food there is second to none (try the $10 steak special!), the drinks are cold and the service is top notch! We’ll be playing your favorite blues and rock tunes all evening, so GET THERE and let’s party!

After three years in the bass chair with Shady Drive, Blake Kniola is leaving the band to pursue other musical interests. It’s been an amazingly fun time with Blake in the band, and we wish him the best in his future endeavors! We’ll miss you Blake!

And so, please welcome Paul Francis back to Shady Drive! Paul has continued to play with Rob and me in “In Step”, and is returning to Shady Drive. We’re looking forward to our first show with Paul back in the bass chair on September 19!
