Hi gang!
This week’s Cleveland Music Club – CMC Jam featured the musical antics of guest hosts “Furious” George Hartwig and Gary “G Rock Stulak”. Thanks for “War Pigs” and for just being generally awesome! We can’t talk about awesome without including a big thanks to this week’s jam crew: Bob Laeng, Tony Kelch, John Kerver, John Hamley, Ralph, Dan Elliott, Don Lydon, Greg Kern, Joe, Gary, Jerry Kromer, Charlita Anderson, Bob DeVries, Guido, and “Lazy Ted” (Dave Cooley, Tom Walsh, Marty V., Mike ‘Chron’, Denise Toil, John Hall.) The fun was dialed all the way up on Tuesday night! We also had some fun folks hanging out with us, including: Mike1., Mike2., Pamela, Effie, Gregory, Vern, Patty, Frank, Vicki, Mary Beth, the Dancing Marilyns and the rest of the ‘frog faithful.’ Thanks for sharing in our evening of musical madness. Finally, as always, big thanks to our sponsor Dirty Town Guitar and Amps and the management and staff of Bullfrog’s Sports Cafe for making our weekly fun possible.
Friday night’s Slim N’ Shady gig at Blue Turtle Tavern was a great time as always! Seeing Ken, Deb, Ray, Chris, Daryl, Erika, Melissa, Dave and the Turtle crew made it even more fun! Big thanks to Melissa, Sara, Courtney and Donna for a great job keeping us all fed and watered! We’re back there on January 29.
Saturday’s Shady Drive show at Fairview Tavern was loads of fun! It was great to see Vicky, Frank, Lisa, Joe, Andy, Sally, Laura, Gerald, Robert, Jess, Becky and all of the Tavern gang who came out to make it an awesome night! Thanks also to Lisa, Heather, Brittany and Emily for keeping our plates and glasses full all night!
Coming up this week…
The Cleveland Music Club – CMC Jam happens every Tuesday at Bullfrog’s Sports Cafe (33137 Center Ridge Rd., N. Ridgeville, 8:30 – 12:30). This week is our Holiday Jam and our guest hosts are Brian Davidson and Bill March! This week, my can gets a much needed rest and EVERY jammer gets a prize!! Our sponsor each and every week is Dirty Town Guitar and Amps (15230 Madison Ave. Lakewood)! Full backline (two guitar amps, bass amp, SONOR DRUMS and PA) is provided, so bring your favorite axe, sticks or just your party attitude and dancin’ shoes and come join the fun!
This Saturday, Shady Drive will debut at Union House Bar and Restaurant (2713 Brookpark Rd., Parma, 9pm – 1am). They have a great menu, so come early for dinner (try the pierogis!) and stay for the music! This is our last show for 2015, so c’mon out and let’s show the Union House what a Shady Drive party is all about!
As always, you can pick up a copy of Shady Drive’s CD, “Darker Shade Of Blue” at our live shows or on CDBaby or iTunes! You can hear us often, along with other blues artists on http://www.bluesmusicfan.com
That’s all for this week! We’ll talk soon…
