Hi gang!
Last week’s CMC Jam was a little different, but loads of fun just the same! We moved into the party room due to the Cavs game, but that didn’t stop the fun. Thanks to hosts Becky Boyd, Mike Dixon and Tim Hamman for an awesome host set and for making the transition to the party room seamless. Huge thanks to those who came out this week, whether they came to play or listen. There are not a lot of venues willing to let the show go on when there is a big game on. (That means extra big thanks to the management of ‘The Frog,’ too!) Without your support, there would be no reason for Russell and his crew to keep the jam on these big sports nights. So… Nate Mysza, John Kerver, Jim Belanger, John Horvath, Bob DeVries, Phil O., Gregory McGill, Vern, Joanne, Peanuts, Marybeth, Gary, Derek, the Dancing Marilyns and the rest of the ‘Frog Faithful.’ buy yourselves all a drink, cause you rock! As always, thanks go to Dirty Town Guitar and Amps for sponsoring us each week.
Shady Drive’s appearance at The Grille was canceled by Century Harley-Davidson due to weather. They’ve rescheduled the event for this coming Wednesday.
Our show at the Fairview Tavern was a great time! It was great to see Aimee, Ryan, Denny, Sandy, Ken, John, Dawn, George and the whole Tavern gang turned out on a Saturday night. Thanks to all who came out! :c)
Coming up this week…
The Cleveland Music Club – CMC Jam happens every Tuesday at Bullfrog’s Sports Cafe (33137 Center Ridge Rd., N. Ridgeville, 8:30 – 12:30) Our guest hosts this week are ‘Furious’ George Hartwig and Gary ‘G Rock’ Stulak! Our sponsor each and every week is Dirty Town Guitar and Amps (15230 Madison Ave. Lakewood)! Full backline (two guitar amps, bass amp, SONOR DRUMS and PA) is provided, so bring your favorite axe, sticks or just your party attitude and dancin’ shoes and come join the fun!
This Wednesday night we’ll try it again as Shady Drive will play The Grille (1813 Pearl Rd., Brunswick, 6-9pm) as they host the Century Harley-Davidson Bike Night. The Grille features an amazing patio, with food to match (their gyros are THE BEST!) and lots of frosty cold beverages! This is our debut appearance there and Justin Butcher will join us on bass, so come join us, hope for a sunny day and let’s rock the house!
Friday will find Rob and me at Gandalf’s Pub (6757 Center Rd., Valley City, 8pm-11pm) as we debut the Slim N’ Shady acoustic duo at the Valley City venue. Gandalf’s has a great Irish-American menu, a great selection of beers and all of your favorite mixed drinks. If weather permits, we’ll be out on the patio, so come join us and let’s kick the weekend off in style!
On Saturday, Shady Drive travels to Bay Shore Campground (7124 Pymatuning Lake Rd Andover, 8pm – 11pm) where we’ll play your favorite classic rock and blues tunes in a great outdoor setting. C’mon out, pitch a tent, build a fire and join the fun!
That’s all for this week! We’ll talk soon…
Mike :c)
