Hi gang!
This week was certainly a roller coaster. We had a great night at the Cleveland Music Club jam night at Doc and Louie’s, but sadly it was Brian Davidson’s last night in the regular host rotation, as he’s starting a steady Tuesday night gig with the Geeze Cats. Brian, thanks so much for all the fun and great music you’ve provided over the past months! You’ll be missed! Stopping by to jam with us and wish Brian well were John Powell, Jason Neitenbach, Greg Kern and Marc Alu, Jay Smith, Hayden Frosti, John Kerver, Bob Laeng, Gene Frantz, Tj Plechaty, Dave Deitke, Luke Pernici, Phil Palumbo, Dave Koler, Blake Kniola, Katyana Speckman, Jerry Colossimo, Ray Varga and the band Black River (Jack, Larry and Matt). In the “gallery”, along with Doc’s music loving regulars were Lisa, Lenna, Shelly, Jimmy, Michelle, Vern, Sherry, Joe, Drew and Rob. Big thanks to Sonor Drums for sponsoring the night and congrats to our prize winners Blake Kniola (kick drum pedal), Jay Smith (tee-shirt) and Ozzy (tee-shirt). Thanks to my guest hosts Bill March and Brian Davidson, our very own amazing Kristen who did her usual fantastic job keeping us fed and watered and Doc who continues to give us a great place to hang out each week.
Coming up this week, we kick off the month of April with another Cleveland Music Club Musicians’ Jam Night at Doc and Louie’s (24280 Lorain Rd., North Olmsted, 7pm – 11pm). This week’s co-hosts are G.S. Harper and Kevin Fancher and our sponsor is Grabbit Stands. As always on Tuesday, Doc’s delicious burgers are 2 for 1, margaritas are $3 and they’re all served up by our Amazing Kristen, who almost breaks the sound barrier to keep your glasses and plates full. :c) Grab your axe, your party attitude and some good friends and get on down to Doc and Louie’s…you’ll be glad you did!
On Wednesday, the Cleveland Music Club – Unplugged show returns to the Fairview Tavern (21867 Lorain Rd., Fairview Park, 8pm – 11pm) as G.S. Harper, Kevin Fancher and I play your favorite classic rock and country hits in an acoustic setting. The food is amazing, the service is fast and friendly, the beer is cold, the music is great and…well what more could you want? :c)
On Friday, Shady Drive rolls into the Boneyard (Westlake)(24940 Sperry Dr., Westlake, 8pm – Midnight) for our debut gig! Great food and drinks and an awesome sounding room are features of the Boneyard. Come on out and help us show them what a Shady Drive party is like!
On Saturday, Shady Drive is off to Frascati’s in the Valley (5143 Canal Rd., Valley View, 9pm – 1am) to party down with Joe, Tony and the Frascati’s gang. If the weather cooperates, we’ll be on the patio. either way, we’ll have a rockin’ good time so come join us!
That’s it for this week! We’ll talk soon…
Mike :c)
